Proposal

I don't know if this really needs a proposal, considering that I could easily remove the speculative stuff in them myself, but mass removal of content may be unpleasant to some people, and so that's why I have decided to create a proposal.

Anyways, every time I go on an episode page, I see those timeline templates that document the time cards in the episode and what episode they allegedly take place before or after, with some speculative trivia items to back these claims up. Well, I personally don't support it and think the trivia sections/templates should be limited to official information. There's no legitimate proof that some episodes take place after others just because like a character does something that they never knew how to do in a certain episode (e.g. SpongeBob not knowing how to tie his shoes in "Your Shoe's Untied" but doing so in "Rock Bottom"). SpongeBob SquarePants is a show that lacks continuity. Speculation is not allowed in articles, and I like to help ESB in reaching its content accuracy goals, and I don't think these speculative bits of "timeline" trivia complies with it.

Unless this information is confirmed by the show's staff or explicitly stated in the episode, this is all just speculation. Speculation and fan theories are interesting, but not official and therefore stuff that shouldn't be included in articles. Also, I don't think the blog that 120d made about the first movie taking place in the 2030s is official despite it being used as a source in articles.  RedBomb1 (MCE) M001 - The SpongeBob SquarePants Movie (0161) 00:49, February 2, 2018 (UTC)
