Proposal
Spongefan14 is proposing the following:
This is just like Anthony2306 said on The voting proposal to bring back Request for protection/unprotection. "A process as simple as protecting and unprotecting pages should not require week-long discussions from the community.". This is kind of the same way with deleting pages. When someone wants a page deleted, it shouldn't have a week-long discussion about deleting the page. I feel like they should just simply message an admin. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Spongefan14 (wall • contribs). Remember to sign your posts with ~~~~

- Oppose - I have to agree with SPONGEBOBSUPERFANINFINITY's concern, in which whether a page should be deleted or not can be debatable at times, unlike protecting pages. Pages are generally protected temporarily due to vandalism or edit warring, but in deletion requests, pages get nominated for reasons such as being "too minor" or whether if it's actually related to SpongeBob or not, but different users in the community have different opinions on whether a certain page might be notable or not, so I feel that community consensus would be needed if a page is questionable in terms of whether it should be deleted or kept. Neutral - I'm personally fine either way.Oppose - While I do think the admins should have final say, I have to agree with SPONGEBOBSUPERFANINFINTY and BSponge that there should still be an user consensus and while this would be a good idea on most wikis, this wiki is pretty active compared to most of them and we're a lot more social than most of the wikis so consensus should be claimed as a very important piece of the wiki. SpongeTron D (W•C•E) I love SB-129- Strong Oppose - Per SPONGEBOBSUPERFANINFINITY's concern. Additionally, if implemented, this would go against many established best practices for wikis in general, specifically the parts about communities voting on decisions, administrators not making unilateral decisions, and all users on a wiki being seen as equal. Furthermore, the absence of a way to discuss deletions on ESB would put this wiki out of step with many other wikis of a similar size, given that there wouldn't even be any discussion on the talk page before the administrator takes his / her decision. - Oppose - Per SPONGEBOBSUPERFANINFINITY's concern. Also, remember to answer any concerns others may have about what you are proposing before it moves to voting, as it provides clarity to how this would work. Nicktrick Star (M·C·E·S) 00:35, 16 August 2021 (UTC)
- Oppose - Per everyone. LegendarySponge115 M•C•E Big Birthday Blowout is the best!
- Strong Oppose - Per SPONGEBOBSUPERFANINFINITY. Requests for Protection and Requests for Deletion are two different things. SpongyFanatic2021 M·C·E 01:42, 16 August 2021 (UTC)
- Very Strong Oppose - Arthur Read fan (talk) 02:56, 16 August 2021 (UTC)
- Strong Oppose - The requests for deletion should not be removed. It's meant to get feedback if the article needs to be deleted or not. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Actiondude2 (wall • contribs). Remember to sign your posts with ~~~~
- Oppose - Honestly I really think it should be up to the community whether a page gets deleted or not. Minnesotaman2007!(M|B|C)Minnesota is best
