Proposal
Paccar is proposing the following:
I believe that ESB:Requests for unprotection and ESB:Requests for protection should be brought back since it was closed by an admin discussion even though if the admins wanted it closed they should've made a proposal so that the community could've deiced if RFUP and RFP should've been closed. Another thing is that some thing may require a community consensus if someone believes that page should be protected or unprotected and not just message a admin. Also, if these proposals passes we might as well change the icons and if you want to know what I mean please look here and no templates have been created so I suggest we make these templates and if you have a problem please leave a concern. - Strong Support - This never should have been abolished in the way it was. See User blog:The gamer 987654321/The use of proposals on this wiki for more of my thoughts on this subject. The gamer 987654321 (talk) 15:36, 12 December 2020 (UTC)
- Oppose - Yea... no SpongeTron D (W•C•E) I love SB-129
- Strong Oppose - A process as simple as protecting and unprotecting pages should not require week-long discussions from the community. Anthony2306 (W•C•L•E) 18:48, 12 December 2020 (UTC)
- Reply - What if there is a disagreement? Trying to reach any consensus on any other page would not see nearly enough input from people whose opinion probably matters, whether that be on the message wall of an administrator or on the relevant article's talk page. Also, this would not be required; before the projects were abolished through an improper process, you should recall that the policy said "the requests for (un)protection process is an optional process; administrators and assistants can (un)protect anything they believe is necessary." - Neutral - I don't know, ah. Kylecocjin (W•C•E)
- Support - Saying this once again, some questions about page being protected/unprotected are complicated, and shouldn't be decided by only one admin. As I also said, I really annoyed, how Kamp Koral page being protected and unprotected so often, while this page must be protected, since of upcoming content, and a load of fake info. - Oppose - We don't need difficult-to-maintain discussions for everything. Figmeister (W•C•E) 20:14, 13 December 2020 (UTC)
