Proposal
Honestly it's kind of stupid how these are allowed on discord and not on chat. Just like discord, children can't go on chat because they have to have an account, which requires you to be over 13. Yes technically underage users can easily make accounts (it's been made very clearly on this wiki especially), but even still anyone who makes an account should presumably be able to handle these swear acronyms which most people learn by age 9 or 10. Basically what the allow swear acronyms on discord proposal stated but on chat too. 9/17 (W•C•E) 19:52, July 26, 2020 (UTC)

- Support - If an underaged person is capable of creating an account and keeping their age secret, they should be able to handle simply the first letter of a bad word. GuyBesideYou3 M·C·E 18:50, August 3, 2020 (UTC)
- PER EGOR - I'll never use one. Admiral SpongeBob (M•C•B•E) 21:45, August 3, 2020 (UTC)
- ULTRA-STRONG OPPOSE - I really annoyed how users are trying to allow swearing. Whatever that there no under 13 years users? Are we cultural society or not? Egor Vasylets M·C·U·B·E·L·A
- Reply - I can accept this with everything I have. Admiral SpongeBob (M•C•B•E) 21:49, August 3, 2020 (UTC)
- Reply - First of all, it's already allowed on discord so I don't see why we can't have it on the other live-chatting place (Special:Chat). Also, this proposal isn't allowing the swears anyways, just the acronyms. In reality, this is just a proposal to allow wt_ and lm_o, which can easily just have letters replace the bad letters in the acronyms like wth or lmbo, but of course people don't like saying it like that and would rather just use the actual acronyms. 9/17 (W•C•E) 21:59, August 3, 2020 (UTC)
- Reply - first of all, you're rarely on chat. second of all, imagine thinking allowing swear acronyms means we are not a cultural society. Jfro8461 (talk) 22:03, August 3, 2020 (UTC)

- Reply - As it's already been explained, this proposal is about allowing acronyms, not actual swear words. TheKorraFanatic (Talk Page) (Contributions) (Guestbook) 22:09, August 3, 2020 (UTC)

- Support - I'm fine with these just being allowed in chat and not elsewhere on the wiki because from what I've seen chat is the only place where people want to use these acronyms. Louis219 (W•C•E) 22:12, August 3, 2020 (UTC)

- Extremely Strong Oppose - No profanity or any hint of it should ever be allowed. Period. Blubabluba9990 M·C·E
- Reply - Can you give a reason why profanity should "never be allowed?" Damn, hell, AND crap are technically profanity and are allowed on this wiki and nobody has a problem with them. I doubt measly acronyms like lmbo or wth can actually harm the wiki. I seriously find it weird how people try to prevent these acronyms when worse words are allowed and they're already allowed on discord... 9/17 (W•C•E) 00:13, August 4, 2020 (UTC)
