General information

  • Title: 50 Edit Voting Rule

Petition

The 50 edit rule is a rule that decides that any user must have 50 article edits to vote. This prevents voting fraud, meaning that it prevents a user from creating a Sock Puppet to vote on their petition. I and a few others feel that this rule would do wonders for ESB and should be created and added to the rulebook. Voice what you think below.

Endorsements

  • Oppose Oppose - i doubt adding edit limits to voting in discussions would help though, since even though it is meant to prevent sockpuppetry, but it could not only prevent legit users from voting, but some sockpuppets could gain 50 or more edits, which while unlikely for the most part, but fraud can still happen, no matter what the limits.   • Neutral Neutral - I'm not really sure about this being a good idea, at least general votes don't matter (like those on the homepage). {{User:Greatlegoman29|20:18, August 19, 2015 (UTC)}}
