The following policy change has been proposed after having this discussion. This would essentially disallow uses of the words "hell" and "damn."
From the "user conduct" article
A. User interaction
1. Do not attack other users personally. This includes but is not limited to: threatening the wiki and/or user(s), name-calling (including, but not limited to idiot, jerk, stupid, retard, etc.), derogatory statements, and use of profanity directed toward other users.
2. Do not discriminate other users based on their religion, political affiliation, sexual preference, or anything else. It is strongly recommended that users do not discuss these things as these may cause distress.
3. Do not use profanity. You can say "damn" as it was used in the first movie, possibly "hell" if in the context. This also meansincludesno use of the words such as "f***," even when used as an expletive.
4. Do not add or link to content that is inappropriate for younger readers/contributors
5. Do not correct other people's use of spelling and/or grammar on discussion pages, message walls, or the forums unless it is in regards to spelling and/or grammar use in an article.
From the chat policies.
4. Profanity. Profanity is forbidden. This includes use as an acronym or censored. "Damn" and "hell" are allowed if they are used in context and not against another user. Any use of profanity after a user is issued a warning will immediately result in a temporary ban from chat.

Neutral - I don't know. I really don't see a problem with using "damn" or "hell." — AMK152 (Wall • Contrib) 01:51, March 4, 2018 (UTC)
Oppose - Why should we not use words like “damn”. I personally don’t see anything wrong with “Damn it!” I also don’t see why we shouldn’t use hell. I mean what’s wrong with saying “What the hell?!” I do not support this. Tyler730(M•C•E) 01:58, March 4, 2018 (UTC)
Oppose - At the moment, allowing the words to be said hasn't caused any issues at all, and using profanity against other users (personal attack/insulting) is already against the rules. I should also add that "damn" has been used in the first movie, and "hell" has less offensive uses than "damn" does. The most expensive boss, Alex.sapre (talk) 02:05, March 4, 2018 (UTC)
Oppose - I can understand but.. Nope. --H𝕒𝕣𝕥 N𝕖𝕨 B𝕠𝕓 02:07, March 4, 2018 (UTC)
Strong Oppose - They have been allowed on this wiki without any problems coming as a result, so I don't see why they should be disallowed. It would make the policy feel too restrictive, and the way it is already feels somewhat restrictive to me. I understand that it could be bad for young kids to see it, but these two specifically are relatively weak bad words in comparison to the ones we don't allow. This is unrelated to this specific proposal, but I believe we should allow acronyms that contain profanity (such as the alternative version of "wth") or even censored profanity as long as they do not explicitly say the word. Support - Some parents are overprotective and view them as bad words they don't want their kids to be saying. RedBomb1(M•C•E) 02:39, March 4, 2018 (UTC)
Comment - If parents were overprotective and viewed those words as bad, then they probably wouldn't allow their kids to be on the internet in the first place. SpongeBot678(M•C•E) 07:29, March 4, 2018 (UTC)
Extremely Strong Oppose - Per my concern and everyone else above. If a user’s parent doesn’t like it, then that’s their problem. DanzxvFan8275 (M•C•U•E) 02:54, March 4, 2018 (UTC)
Oppose - Okay, I can understand banning intense profanity, but... "Damn" and "Hell" are that not intense, also one reasoning is that "Hell" is religious... Does that mean that the phrase "Oh my god" should be banned, since that's "religious" and has a similar meaning as "What the Hell"? (an expression of anger or confusion) Data
Strong Oppose - We should be able to keep those words - KKirby
Oppose - Nothing is really wrong with the rule, and it is not even abused. Although, I felt like adding another part that resembles "Note that saying "go to hell" to another user will still warrant administrative action, as that is harassment." BF10OrdersTipsAttendenceLogs 14:12, March 4, 2018 (UTC)
Neutral - I honestly don’t see much of a problem with these words as they aren’t too violent, unless they were actually being used in a violent manner they should be unacceptable. •кσσℓкιттү<мεssαgεωαℓℓ>(=^◡^=)• 16:31, March 4, 2018 (UTC)
Oppose - I hate those darn soccer moms Maddox121 (talk) 18:32, March 4, 2018 (UTC)Maddox12
Oppose - I'm sorry, there's nothing wrong with using the words "damn" or "hell." Though it I should a bit unprofessional, I don't see any reason to get rid of their use on the wiki. TimyNMario(Wall)/(Contribs) 17:43, March 4, 2018
Oppose - People are getting to triggered at everything and this crosses the line. TheJasbre202 (M•C•U•E)
Strong Oppose - This is a load of barnacles! Also, why can't we use words like "damn" and "hell"? I don't see a problem. Signed, JaidenTaco1016, also known as DoodleBob.
Extremely Strong Oppose - hell no Chuck123456(M•C•E) 20:04, March 4, 2018 (UTC)
Neutral - how about only banning the word on chat and regular discussions. However when talking about the movie it should defiantly be allowed as it was used.--Cameron Darius Jenkins (talk) 01:14, March 6, 2018 (UTC)
Oppose - at first I was neutral but now I changed my mind to opossessed as honestly people are getting too triggered these days. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Cameron Darius Jenkins (wall • contribs). Remember to sign your posts with ~~~~
Oppose - I use those words all the time, what's wrong with them? LuigiTheMurderer(M•C•E) 13:33, March 7, 2018 (UTC)
Oppose - they said damn in the spongebob movie and hell is said in an official sponge out of water song soooo.... Purplemonkey587 (M•C•U•E)
Comment - What part was it at ? I always hear people talking about it but when I watch it I never hear it. Roller (talk)
Support - I support because I feel this wikia will be one step safer for people without Profanity. I also support because Profanity used in chat might not be apporite to younger kids who are 12 and under who visit this wikia. Not only that someone could get offended if your not careful usuing profanity. I also support because when I was younger i wasnt allowed to visit sites with profanity as I had parental controls growing up. I also support as this could somewhat protect this wikia from vandelisim. After all Safety on the wikia network from vandels is my topic for this year that I am focusing on. I am getting there it could take a long time before wikia is 100 perecent safe but we can do it. JackieJ23456
Comment - This site doesn’t allow strong profanity like the f-word. This proposal is about not allowing us to use “damn” or “hell”. However I can see where you’re coming from. Tyler730(M•C•E) 16:30, March 10, 2018 (UTC)
Oppose - Hell and damn are words that are the "weakest" of profanity, and thus I think they should be allowed. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Spo8 (wall • contribs). Remember to sign your posts with ~~~~
