Dale,[1] also known as Incidental 108,[2] is an incidental character who first appears in the episode "Valentine's Day." His incidental type is currently unknown.
Description[]
He is a thin oval-shaped faded brown fish with a light-brown mouth and black eyes. He wears a red tank top.
Names[]
Dale is the only generic name Incidental 108 has been given in the franchise. It was used for him in "Ditchin'."

- In "New Student Starfish," an unclearly-individually-identified up-to-six from the Good Noodle Board of Mrs. Puff's class containing Incidentals 7, 11, 18, 37B, 73, 104, 107, and 108 may be named Lloyd, Sheila, Paco, Debbie, Horace, and/or Rich; ambiguity raised by a student not appearing in "New Student Starfish" being named Horace in Class Confusion.
- In "The Inmates of Summer," an unclearly-individually-identified five from the roll call sheet of the Sun-N-Fun Island troops containing Incidentals 67KID, 73KID, 100, 101, 103, 108, 109, 152, 158, and one of the octopus quintuplets are named Matty Mollusk, Billy Blenny, Percy Perch, Tom Tarpon, and Lois Flatfish.

Dale is a somewhat commonly used incidental character in the series. He has had many notable/speaking roles as well as minor/non-speaking ones. He makes his biggest role yet in "Ditchin'" and he was firstly designed to be a patron at the Valentine's Day Carnival.

He asks SpongeBob for some money and SpongeBob asks if he wanted ice cream but he says he is allergic to it but he offers to be SpongeBob's friend.

He is part of the Bikini Bottom Men's Choir.
"Ditchin'"[]
His biggest role yet. He appears as Sandy's teammate during their badminton game against SpongeBob and Patrick. SpongeBob manages to beat them, but he then gets arrested for eating Quasi-Gummy Chewy Candy Fish because it is "of his own kind." It is then revealed by Incidental 37A that he used to be a good student in boating school until he started cutting class, which lead him into criminal notoriety. This scares SpongeBob since he is doing exactly the same thing.

He appears as a student in Squilliam Fancyson's class.
"Truth or Square"[]
He appears at a bus stop with some other fish until he hears SpongeBob singing "Oh, Krusty Krab" and heads to the Krusty Krab.

He laughs at a naked Sandy with Incidental 41 and Incidental 42.
"Squidward in Clarinetland"[]
He is one of the fish that was trying to collect Incidental 14's loose change until he and the other fish trying to collect the change gets scared away by Mr. Krabs.
"SpongeBob's Last Stand"[]
He is shown approving of the Shelly Superhighway in Plankton's flashback and claims that he likes things that are super. He later appears as one of Buxton's servants during "Give Jellyfish Fields a Chance." He lastly appears as part of the choir in the Shelly Superhighway parade.
"Summer Job"[]
Mrs. Puff runs into his table while rolling on a barrel.
"The Play's the Thing"[]
He is seen at the Krusty Krab with Incidental 48 where they get disturbed by Squidward.
"The Cent of Money"[]
Mr. Krabs eyes his bucket of coins at the Fun Arcade and he later stares at Mr. Krabs when he raises Gary the Snail.

He watches Rrarrg read a magazine at the news stand.

He is the only customer leaving the Krusty Krab that did not get sucked into a tornado like the other customers, due to him not having an umbrella with him. Although he was unaware about how lucky he was to not have an umbrella with him.

Squidward complains to him about always leaving his trash at the table at the Krusty Krab. He is also one of the fish who carry Squidward over to the volcano to toss him in.
"Krusty Dogs"[]
SpongeBob delivers his and Incidental 48's Krusty Dogs.
"The Wreck of the Mauna Loa"[]
He, Scooter, and Incidental 48 fall off of The Wreck of the Mauna Loa amusement park ride and happily run off.
"Drive Thru"[]
He is seen wanting to make an order at the Krusty Krab drive-thru when Mr. Krabs moves Squidward's boat right next to the drive-thru. He later appears complaining in the drive-thru with Incidental 115 and Incidental 157.
"Squidward's School for Grown-Ups"[]
He drives past SpongeBob and Patrick during their "game" while Patrick was sleeping and SpongeBob attempted to yell at his boatmobile without Patrick, but he admits that it isn't as fun without Patrick.
"Oral Report"[]
He appears as one of the ravenous customers at the Krusty Krab at the beginning of the episode.
"The Krabby Patty That Ate Bikini Bottom"[]
He tells everyone in Bikini Bottom to keep running away from the Giant Krabby Patty until Incidental 107 points out that it stops which Dale believes but it is revealed that the Krabby Patty only stopped because of the red traffic light and it then continues to roll and devour citizens when the light turns green.

He appears as a disguise for the cop.

He is one of the fish that falls off of a Glove World! roller coaster and lands onto a glove pole until it collapses.
"Chum Fricassee"[]
He is seen at the Chum Bucket asking Squidward to sign his Chum Fricassee with Incidental F3 and the fancy dandy fish. He later appears tossing a plate of Chum Fricassee onto the wall during the riot.
"Hello Bikini Bottom!"[]
He appears at the supermarket with Incidental 40 where they clang two can to the tune of SpongeBob and Squidward's performance.
"It Came from Goo Lagoon"[]
He is seen in the opening of the episode as the main focus, eating an ice cream cone while walking down the beach. He is also seen at the top of a jet ski pyramid with other fish where Patrick collapses the entire pyramid by running into it with a goo bubble.
"Pull Up a Barrel"[]
He is part of the sunburn brigade.
"What's Eating Patrick?"[]
He is seen eating at the Krusty Krab where Mr. Krabs happily backflips into his table, destroying it and sending him flying away, but he then comes flying back to his table when Krabs backflips in reverse.

He is seen in a trench coat and fedora flipping a coin with his thumb during the thumbs song.

He gets a fortune cookie that says something wonderful is about to happen to him, a group of baby worms then come up and start licking him and Dale happily thanks the fortune cookie. He later purchases another that was made by Plankton that says that he will get stomach cramps from the Krusty Krab. He lastly tells all of the customers at the Chum Bucket to go back to the Krusty Krab after Plankton admits that the fortune cookies he made were fake.

He appears as the carnie for the Fish Snag while SpongeBob searches for Patrick.
