"Crossing the Street" is a SpongeBob SquarePants Best Day Ever short. In this short, SpongeBob attempts to help an old lady cross the street.

Synopsis[]
In the beginning of the short, SpongeBob tries to help Miss Shell cross the street, but little does he know that she wanted to take the bus. After SpongeBob understands this, he runs after the bus, but trips and Miss Shell goes flying.
She ends up using her umbrella to swing on to a street light and flies into the bus, and then thanks SpongeBob. He gets run over by another bus in the middle of replying with "You're welcome!," though after getting run over, he's still able to say it, as the short ends.

- The thumbnail of this short on YouTube features SpongeBob in his Viking outfit from the episode "Bubble Buddy," with sardines making the word, "mini," which has nothing to do with the short.
Errors[]
- On certain DVD prints of this short, it accidentally cuts (to black) when SpongeBob is getting run over by the bus for a short second, resulting in him not saying his last line "...welcome."
