Character

The con man is a fish who is a minor villain in the series. He first appears in the episode "Chocolate with Nuts."

Description

He is a lavender fish with light purple fins. He wears a small brown hat with an orange stripe, a brown vest over his light tan dress shirt with a brown tie, and his sleeves are rolled up. In "The Ballad of Filthy Muck," he does not wear his vest.

When he pretends to be an injured man in "Chocolate with Nuts," he wears white wrapping and a nebulizer, acting as if he cannot walk.

In the episode "20,000 Patties Under the Sea," he is light turquoise and wears a purple vest and a light pink tie. His hat also hat a purple stripe on it.

In the episode "Broken Alarm," he is light cyan and wears a green vest with a white shirt and orange tie.

Role in series

"Chocolate with Nuts"

He cons or scams SpongeBob and Patrick out of their money three times by selling them candy bar bags, candy bar bag carrying bags and pretending he is seriously injured just to sell more chocolate to SpongeBob and Patrick.

"20,000 Patties Under the Sea"

He says "Thanks again, boys" after SpongeBob and Patrick pay him to take the Krabby Patties they were selling, referencing "Chocolate with Nuts." He is shown with the female judge in this episode, implying that they are married.

"Snooze You Lose"

He appears with the crowd surrounding SpongeBob and Patrick inside Squidward.

"The Getaway"

He appears as a Jewelry store employee whom SpongeBob must distract while Stickyfins Whiting steals from the shop. Ironically, he is the one being stolen from.

"Spot Returns"

He makes a cameo at the Krusty Krab, where he and the other customers are distracted by the identical twin puppies.

"Sanitation Insanity"

He is shown selling boatmobiles to Carl.

"The Ballad of Filthy Muck"

He is shown leading the angry mob against Filthy Muck and Little Yuck.

"The Krusty Slammer"

He is one of the customers dining at the Krusty Slammer, and later leaves when the prisoners start a riot.

"Broken Alarm"

He is the owner of Clock World, a clock store that SpongeBob visits in order to find a replica of his alarm clock. He tells SpongeBob that his brand of alarm clock is no longer produced, though he has many other clocks SpongeBob can buy. SpongeBob, indecisive, buys all of the clocks and gives the con man a pile of money, causing the con man to run to a nearby yachts store, buy an expensive yacht and drive away with it.

"Senior Discount"

He is one of several customers in the Krusty Krab who Old Man Jenkins annoys.

Trivia

  • His appearance in "Broken Alarm" reveals that he has extensive knowledge of clocks, being able to tell the exact model of a clock just by tasting its remains. He also likes to tell time-related puns.
  • He has the same model as the light purple officer.
