Comic Crazy! is a SpongeBob SquarePants comic book compilation which features comics such as Hiccup And Away!, Just Desserts, Best Fiend, Gone Jellyfishing, The Hole at the Bottom of the Sea, and others from the Nickelodeon Magazine. It was released on June 9, 2009. A sequel titled Comic Crazy: Take 2 was released on May 27, 2010.
In the third comic, Just Desserts, SpongeBob and Patrick start out playing music outside of Squidward's house, where Squidward promptly destroys their instruments.
Assuming that he is upset by something earlier in the day, they decide to try to cheer him up by baking a cake in the shape of his face. They add the words cheer upon the forehead, and leave it on a coral stump outside Squidward's house and walk away.
A few seconds later Mr. Krabs comes along and, mistaking the cake stump combo for Squidward, asks it to help with a crowded Krusty Krab, saying, "I know it's yer day off but the Krusty Krab is swamped and I need yer help!"
Seeing the words "cheer up" on the forehead, he assumes this means yes and drags the cake to the Krusty Krab. Putting it at the cash register he hops into his office, leaving the cake in charge.
One customer thinks 'Squidward' is ignoring him and pokes his forehead, smearing the R and U making it say "cheep."
When a second customer comes up she thinks the cake is calling her cheap, and threatens, "You're just lucky my boyfriend isn't here or he'd pop you in the kisser!"
The health inspector suddenly appears and as he inspects the nose of the cake falls off. He tells everyone to panic and when Mr. Krabs comes out of his office, the health inspector tells him he's shutting the Krusty Krab down. Mr. Krabs responds by firing 'Squidward' and plopping the cake coral combo at Squidward's door.
Squidward comes out to see what the noise was to see the customer who thought she was being called cheap is there with her boyfriend, who is holding a bat.
The comic ends with SpongeBob and Patrick at SpongeBob's house, where Patrick says he's sure the cake made Squidward's day.
Krusty Krab Cleanup
Krusty Krab Cleanup is the fourth comic and is unique for being the only one to have no dialogue. It is also tied at second shortest with only two pages; it is tied with the sixth comic Left Out, the eighth comic Make That BigPants and the last comic Dressed for Distress.
The comic starts with SpongeBob closing the Krusty Krab only to turn around and see a mess. With Squidward just lounging around, SpongeBob has the idea to contain all of the garbage in a bubble and goes around sweeping it all in.
Just as he finishes, Mr. Krabs comes out of his office, and Squidward, looking for the credit, gets a mop and pushes SpongeBob out of the way. Assuming he cleaned it, Mr. Krabs tosses Squidward a coin as he leaves.
The comic ends with the bubble of trash popping above Squidward, as SpongeBob must start all over again.
Dollars and Scents
Dollars and Scents is the fifth comic and begins with Mr. Krabs running around telling people to smell him. He has a date with Mrs. Puff and is worried that she won't like him because he smells like an old Krabby Patty, so SpongeBob and Squidward eventually make Mr. Krabs a perfume out of various items Mrs. Puff likes.
Left Out is the sixth comic and starts with Patrick running to SpongeBob's house to play, to find SpongeBob gone.
He goes to Sandy's for answers but she is gone too. From this, he jumps to the conclusion that they've cruelly abandoned him to have fun alone.
He imagines them in three situations, where the pair looks progressively evil throughout. He first imagines them clog dancing, then paragliding for jellyfish, and then eating Krabby Patties.
He decides to combine all three and have his own fun. The comic ends as SpongeBob and Sandy pass him holding groceries, where SpongeBob says it was pretty rude of Patrick to not invite them along.
Best Fiend is the seventh comic begins with Plankton talking with Karen about his latest scheme to steal the Krabby Patty formula. He then dresses up as Patrick, and tags along with SpongeBob, expecting him to tell him the Krabby Patty formula. However, none of his schemes work, only for Patrick to show up, prompting Plankton to storm off.
