Casey Raymond Alexander (born September 12, 1975; age 49) is a former SpongeBob SquarePants crew member. He worked on the show from season 4 to mid-season 9.
Initially partnered with Chris Mitchell during the fourth season, Alexander, as of Mitchell's departure after the aforementioned season, was partnered with Zeus Cervas; the earliest episodes produced on which they collaborated were "Friend or Foe?" and "Fungus Among Us." Cervas and Alexander's partnership would persist for another four seasons, rendering them one of the series' longest-running writing teams.
Biography[]
Casey began working on the show in 2005 and is a graduate of Cal Arts. He left the show after mid-season 9 to begin working on the Cartoon Network series Uncle Grandpa.[1]
He wrote on SpongeBob for seven years and had contributed to almost 100 episodes. During his time while he was still writing, Casey and Zeus were among the most loyal writers of the crew, being the only writers besides Luke Brookshier and Marc Ceccarelli to write for season 9 after the departure of Aaron Springer in the previous season.
In 2012, he stated on Twitter that he no longer wrote anymore SpongeBob episodes because he wanted to work for Uncle Grandpa; his position on SpongeBob was occupied by Kaz following the show's hiatus.[1] He was the supervising director and creative director in Uncle Grandpa until the show ended in summer 2017. Since then he has been working on as a director for Unikitty! He has also worked on Victor and Valentino as a supervising producer since 2019, which Zeus Cervas has been a writer on.
