They are fish action figures that look sad. The Sad Sponge is the newest Bummer Dude action figure. The Sad Sponge has a white shirt, a red and white tie, and overalls.
The Sad Sponge toy can cry when it is squeezed. Special features of the other action figures are currently unknown.
Role in episode[]
After a commercial for a sea flea circus, SpongeBob comments that he ordered them the day before and is still waiting. In response, the TV plays a "Bummer Dude" action figure commercial. The mailman then comes, and says that he does not have any packages for SpongeBob, disappointing him. He drags the TV behind him, and it plays a commercial for a Sad Sponge figure.
