"Botany Bay" is a traditional sea shanty performed by Robert Alexander White. There are four different variations of this soundtrack; two being used in the show (Botany Bay (A) and Botany Bay (d) were never used). The main instrument played in all versions include an accordion.

- This track has slowed down in usage since season 5. Starting with "Grandpappy the Pirate," "Botany Bay (b)" has been replaced with "Sad Sack Shanty."
- Between "The Krabby Kronicle" and "Hard Time Out," it took Botany Bay (b) thirteen years to return, but only in Kamp Koral.
- Between "Funny Pants" and "Camp Crossbones," it took Botany Bay (c) exactly seventeen years to return, but only in Kamp Koral.
- The last SpongeBob SquarePants episode in production order to use any of the variants of Botany Bay is "Krabby Kronicle," which also comes after "Penny Foolish" in US airdate order.
