Bob Flynn was a writer and artist of several comics from Nickelodeon Magazine, and later made comics for SpongeBob Comics. He was a storyboard artist for The SpongeBob Movie: Sponge Out of Water. He is currently working on the animated series Bravest Warriors as a character designer.
Biography[]
Bob Flynn was born in Buxton, Maine, and had a fascination with cartoons from a young age, with Bill Watterson being a major inspiration for him. He later became a cartoonist/artist and joined video production service Schwartz & Associates Creative, where in 2004 he was inspired to move to Boston and join FableVision Studios as a staff artist, working there for more than a decade and eventually being promoted to Director of Art and Animation.
During this time, Flynn started making comics for Nickelodeon Magazine, and later created the Heeby Jeeby Comix series when the magazine shut down in 2009. When SpongeBob Comics started, he created and wrote several comics for the series until the publishers shut down in 2018. He also started working on the animated series Bravest Warriors as a character designer, where he continues to this day. Flynn currently lives in Boston with his wife and cat.
