The boat salesman shark[1] is a character who first appears in the episode "Drive Happy."
Description[]
He is a light indigo shark with dark blue eyelids and black pupils who wears a brown plaid suit, an orange necktie with light peach stripes and a white long-sleeved shirt with yellow buttons. He also has dark red pants and classical brown shoes.
While working at Upturn's, he wears a lavender undershirt with purple flowers, a white suit with a lilac flower and gold name tag attached to the collar bands, and a lavender tie.

Role in series[]
"Drive Happy"[]
He shows SpongeBob some car models in the beginning of the episode, and SpongeBob would like to buy them, but since he does not have a driver's license, he cannot. He tells SpongeBob that one does not need a driver's license to drive a self-driving boat, and he shows Coupe. SpongeBob gives him the money so SpongeBob can have the boat, and the boat salesperson uses the money he got as wings to fly off.
"Jolly Lodgers"[]
The salesperson appears as the receptionist at Hotel Halibut. Squidward is annoyed by the jokes he makes and his eccentric nature, but eventually gets to his room. When he orders room service, the salesperson orders SpongeBob and Patrick to deliver the food to Squidward. Finally, when Squidward is escaping the hotel in a jellyfish costume, he zaps the salesperson and then leaves the building.
"Upturn Girls"[]
He is the manager of perfume department at Upturn's, and sprays perfume in Narlene's face due to not liking her scent. Narlene then sprays some of her own toadstool tang perfume in retaliation, with the stench being so powerful it makes the manager melt.
Later on, he is the manager of the shoe section of the store. He ties the customers' shoes and helps Narlene find one that fits. Once she tears up a shoe, he recognizes her and Pearl as the ones who have been causing trouble. He calls security and helps lead the chase to capture them. He gets distracted by Pearl's diamond credit card and loses track.
"Say Awww!"[]
He appears as one of the characters in the pyramid trying to escape Q.T.-π.
"BassWard"[]
He appears as the receptionist at the Grand Tug Hotel in Jetsam City. He tells Squidward and Bubble Bass that since their reservations were scheduled for yesterday and they did not show up, other people have gotten their rooms. Squidward and Bubble Bass start crying, so he agrees to let them stay in the hotel, but in a slightly worse room.
