SpongeBob SquarePants Bikini Bottom Bowling is a SpongeBob SquarePants arcade ticket redemption game developed by Play Mechanix and manufactured by the Chicago Gaming Company. It was released in 2007 exclusively in arcades.

Description[]

Players choose their character and then roll a bowling ball down the lane shown on the screen, with tickets being rewarded based upon the number of knocked over pins. If a strike is rolled, play continues, and if the player manages three strikes in a row, the ticket jackpot is awarded. The ticket amounts and game difficulty are adjustable.

  • Roll Ball - Roll the trackball
  • Move character - Move trackball left/right.
  • Change character - Press the "Start" button.

  • The game's OS is a version of Slax Linux.
  • Despite the game's recovery software disc being 2GB, the actual base game size is actually 180MB.
  • The game has leftover Sound Effects from another arcade game called "Big Buck Hunter."
  • In the game's files, there are voice clips from various episodes from season 1 and season 2.
  • The game has leftover music and dialog from Chicago Gaming's previous SpongeBob game, SpongeBob SquarePants Jellyfishing.
  • All sounds, dialog, and music are actually speed up in game.
  • Every playable character (except Squidward) has 2 models, a Normal model, and a Fail model.
  • The game started development in 2004.
  • This is one of the rarest SpongeBob Arcade games, as Chicago Gaming only manufactured 200 cabinets.
  • On the side of the cabinet, Sandy has a unique design that features red and blue stripes on her arms, exposed legs with blue shorts, and a red stripe on her boots.
    • SpongeBob also has several different bowling outfits seen on various parts of the cabinet.
  • Despite not being a playable character, Gary the Snail is still featured in the game as one of the spectators during gameplay.
