Bikini Bottom Bop 'Em is a SpongeBob SquarePants online game.

It was released in 2014.[1][2][3]

Gameplay[]

One day, Plankton is reading a newspaper and sees an advertisement saying: "Glove Universe presents glovies build-a-game contest! Grand prize: 5,000,000 something." Plankton thinks its money and decides to build a game using Karen's help.

The object of the game is to hit the characters on screen in order to meet the number goal before the time runs out. If the player hasn't hit enough characters within the time limit, they lose. If the number goal is met before the time runs out, the player can keep on playing to earn stars. If the player reaches 3 stars before the timer runs out, the level ends. The player has to be mindful when hitting the character(s). Certain characters require specific styles (click, swipe, etc.). If the wrong style is used, time will be lost. The player can also use power-ups to help make it easier.

The game ends when one fails to complete the goal or level 20 is beaten. In the ending, Plankton gets the grand prize of 5,000,000 free rides at Glove Universe.

Trivia[]

General[]

  • The game is a parody of Whac-A-Mole.
  • Each character requires specific hits. For SpongeBob, the player swipes the mouse over him. For Patrick, the player must click once. For Squidward, the player must double click on him. For Mr. Krabs, the player waits for him to stop counting his money and then hit him. Lastly, for Gary, the player hits each number in order.
  • If the player touches a jellyfish, they'll lose time.
  • The player can click on the ice cubes to freeze the characters for a short time.
  • Cutscenes in this game are done through comic strips.
  • A "six weeks later..." time card is used 4 times in some of the cutscenes whenever one of Plankton's game machines get destroyed and repaired. This implies that the glovies build-a-game contest went on for a total of 168 days or 5 months.
