"At Home, on the Lam" is a The Patrick Star Show episode from season 2. In this episode, Bunny tries to punish Patrick for chocolate-favored crimes.

Characters[]

Synopsis[]

Bunny has made a war diorama for the Klopnodian Chocolate Fest. When she sees Patrick drooling over it, she tells him not to eat it or there will be consequences. Patrick goes to bed, and the next morning, he has chocolate smeared all over his face, although he does not recall eating the diorama. Bunny catches him and Patrick runs away, so she hunts him down. Bunny first calls Tinkle to follow the scent of Patrick's underwear, but it is so bad that he faints.

Patrick hides in Squidina's room, where he hides in her teakettle, only being given away by Patrick drooling out of it as Squidina pours tea. He runs to Cecil, who is painting a window. Cecil digs a tunnel for Patrick to escape and paints himself to look like Patrick. When Bunny comes in, she catches him, but the paint drips off and she realizes Patrick got away. Patrick goes to GrandPat's room for help, and GrandPat claims to help smuggle him to Paris, but actually beats him up while he's trapped inside the bag. Bunny comes in and GrandPat tries to hand Patrick over, but finds that Patrick escaped the bag. Patrick goes back in the tunnel and winds up falling next to a giant chocolate house.

Patrick finds a chocolate replica of Cecil, who says he will help him escape Bunny's consequences. Bunny and GrandPat follow Patrick to the house and enter to find him having made a replica of the diorama, using the chocolate Cecil. GrandPat wants to punish Patrick, but Tinkle sniffs out chocolate in his beard. GrandPat confesses that he ate the war diorama, still resenting them after fighting them in the war, and that he smeared the chocolate on Patrick's face because he was the obvious suspect. Bunny punishes GrandPat by making him eat all the chocolate. Patrick wants to eat the chocolate, causing his mouth to water. The episode ends with a dedication to the Chocolate Family.

Trivia[]

General[]

  • This episode was paired up with a rerun of "5 Star Restaurant" during the original American airing.

Episode references[]

  • Cecil is wearing his "Kiss Me, I'm Klopnodian" shirt from "Klopnodian Heritage Festival." GrandPat's hatred of Klopnod from said episode also comes back.
  • When Patrick apparently escapes to France, he is in his Frenchman outfit from "The Wrath of Shmandor."

Cultural references[]

  • After GrandPat revealing that he's the one who stole Bunny's diorama at the end, he said "And I wouldn't have got away with it, if it weren't for you meddling whippersnappers!" This references the line that every villain uses to the Mystery Inc. gang in the Hanna-Barbera classic show Scooby-Doo.
