Synopsis[]
One morning, Squidward walks into the cabin to find it completely full of trash. Upset with the mess, he demands that SpongeBob and Patrick clean it up. They try, but realize it will take too long, so they push the trash into Sandy's dome. Sandy gets upset, but comes up with a solution. In just a few seconds, she renovates the cabin to house a variety of robotic appliances, controlled by a cube named S.A.L. that sits in her dome. The cabin quickly cleans itself, and gets rid of any messes immediately. It prepares some pizza, which the three of them eat. Squidward comes in, pleased with how clean the cabin is. They spend the rest of the day dancing, then S.A.L. raises them out of the cabin to let them sleep under the stars.
The next morning, SpongeBob invites all the other campers over to see how cool S.A.L. is. A food fight breaks out, but S.A.L. is upset by the mess. Realizing it cannot keep the cabin clean, S.A.L.'s robot hands throw all the campers into garbage bags and kicks them out. SpongeBob, Patrick, Sandy, and Squidward plan to sneak back in later that night. Squidward and Patrick try to slingshot themselves in, with the latter getting stuck in the window. During the commotion, Sandy sneaks back into her dome and shuts off S.A.L. directly. While all the campers are able to get back in, Sandy feels bad for S.A.L., as he just wanted to help. The next day, S.A.L. is installed in Plankton's canteen kitchen. Plankton argues with its opinion on his recipe until he realizes it is correct.

Trivia[]
Episode references[]
- S.A.L. sings the "Goofy Goober Theme Song" from The SpongeBob SquarePants Movie as Sandy unplugs it.
Cultural references[]
- The title of this episode is a reference to the game show Are You Smarter than a 5th Grader?, in which its 2019 revival aired on Nickelodeon.
- This is the second instance of a Kamp Koral: SpongeBob's Under Years episode title referencing one of Nickelodeon's TV shows. The first was "Are You Afraid of the Dork?," being a pun on Are You Afraid of the Dark?
- S.A.L.'s name is a reference to HAL 9000 from 2001: A Space Odyssey. The scene near the end of the episode where Sandy sequentially deactivates S.A.L., who sings the Goofy Goober song, is a direct reference to the ending of the film, where HAL sings "Daisy Bell" as its modules are pulled out. The scene's direction, with red lights illuminating Sandy as she pulls the lightbulbs out from a head-on perspective, is also a homage to the movie.
