Absorbing Favorites is a SpongeBob SquarePants DVD that was released on September 20, 2005 and contains three episodes from season 1, three episodes from season 2 and three episodes from season 3.
Cover
The cover has four varieties of SpongeBobs and around the cover says the DVD's title in yellow. The SpongeBob on the top-left is seen with ripped pants, the SpongeBob on the top-right is seen wearing his karate gear, the one on the right is seen wearing his flying pants and the one on the bottom can be seen holding a jellyfish net. On the cover, Plankton can also be seen holding a Krabby Patty and there are some jellyfish seen.

- This DVD also contains previews for various Nickelodeon shows. These include Mad Hot Ballroom, Rugrats Tales from the Crib: Snow White, Lemony Snicket's A Series of Unfortunate Events, The Fairly OddParents DVDs and VHS tapes, older SpongeBob DVDs and VHS tapes, and Tak: The Great Juju Challenge.
- "Karate Choppers" does not have its musical score changed on this DVD. This also applies to the VHS version, and the Deep-Sea Games DVD.
- The cover art contains references to the episodes "Ripped Pants," "Karate Choppers," "The Sponge Who Could Fly," and "Plankton's Army."
- However, in the case of the former episode, SpongeBob is shown ripping his regular pants instead of his blue swim trunks.
- This DVD was released three years after "New Student Starfish" and "Clams" premiered and one year after Nicktoons Freeze Frame Frenzy was released.
