Synopsis[]

5 Star Restaurant 037

Krabs, Patrick, and Cecil in the kitchen.

Patrick is at the Krusty Krab when he is served a very messy and disgusting Krabby Patty. He complains to Mr. Krabs, but only because there is no cheese. Krabs tells Patrick to talk to their chef instead. Patrick looks through the order window and is surprised by what he sees: Cecil working at the grill. He asks Cecil if he can help him make Krabby Patties, and Cecil hires him. Krabs comes in and is confused, but realizing that Patrick does not know what a salary is, he is fine with letting him work. Krabs makes Patrick serve patties to a customer, but he always eats them on the way there.

Squidina runs in, saying that Patrick is supposed to be on his show. Krabs explains that Patrick works for him, so Squidina films the show there instead. Krabs protests, so Squidina gets the idea to trick him into staying into his office by claiming to record a movie about him, setting up a fake camera and making him talk into it. She locks him inside and is suddenly confronted by angry customers, who want her to take her order despite her saying that she does not work there. She realizes the job is not that different from working in television and gets the customers in a single-file line, then orders Krabby Patties from Cecil.

Patrick is working on slicing cheese, but he cuts himself on the sharp corners. At the mention of his "ouchie boo-boos," Bunny runs in and kisses it better. Squidina hires Bunny as well. As Cecil marvels that the whole family is working there, GrandPat arrives as a customer for his date with Granny Tentacles. He orders nice food for himself and cheap food for her, angering her and making her steal his wallet and scooter away. GrandPat is unable to pay for his food, so Squidina makes him work as a dishwasher to pay off the debt.

Business is going smoothly until Squidina wonders if they can serve even more customers, so Patrick smashes the walls with a hammer, creating a drive thru. Cars smash into the restaurant and Squidina finds herself unable to keep up with the demand, so she hires the customers as employees. Outside the restaurant, she appears to be wanting to hire SpongeBob, but she actually hires Squidward instead. However, now the restaurant is full of workers and not customers. Patrick decides to summon some by taking out a briefcase that contains the time closet.

When the time closet is activated, various other Patricks, along with an ammonite and a caveman SpongeBob, rush out and cause mayhem around the restaurant. Krabs' fake camera collapses and he overhears, peeking out of his office to observe the chaos. Back in the kitchen, Cecil cooks a mine, causing the Krusty Krab to blow up. Krabs cries and pleas to Neptune to send someone who can fix the restaurant: all of a sudden, a pickle barrel falls out of the sky, then breaks open to reveal a woozy Squidward. Squidward falls onto the time closet's lever, leading it to suck everything back up. The Stars resist until Cecil looks at his watch and notices that it is 6 PM, meaning their shift is over. They all punch out and leave through the time closet, which implodes and restores the restaurant back to normal, leaving no traces behind.

5 Star Restaurant 200

The start of Squidward's new job.

Krabs and Squidward fall out of the sky. Thinking Squidward fixed the Krusty Krab, Krabs congratulates him and gives him a job. Happy with his new job, Squidward steps outside, breathes in the air, and comments that things are looking up for him. He turns around to see graffiti with his head and "loser" written on the door, sighing, "Typical."
