Role in series[]
The "Thug" incidentals were designed for "Plankton's Army" as a small group of thugs hanging out at the Tough Tavern. Plankton attempts to have them serve him as henchmen to help him steal the Krabby Patty secret formula, although it fails and as a result, they end up stepping on him and leaving him in bandages. They were all firstly portrayed to be minor characters before their appearance in "Plankton's Army" and they continue to make many more appearances in the franchise.
