<p>Discussions was introduced in March 2016, and since then, Fandom has made it clear for years that this is the path they are pursuing due to technical issues with MediaWiki's Special:Forum, especially software bugs and mobile access. </p><p>As sad as it is, I do think as a community, we can at least appreciate how much effort they have put into improving the feature for three to four years now. </p><p>Believe me, Discussions was very different many years ago, when Fandom migrated most wikis in 2017 before the feature evolved to where it is today. </p>

Unfortunately I don't Fandom would let Spongebob456 or TheKorraFanatic support that, therefore that will not ever be allowed to happen. </p> </div> <p>I believe I did propose it here, but that was years ago and some felt we didn't need it at the time as Fandom didn't give a specific date for the migration and Discussions was still in infancy at the time. </p><p>But as Discussions won't ever be wikitext compatible, even as a mature feature after development, I still think my point back in October 2018 stands now. </p><p>It is possible per Help:Wiki-style forums. Staff can always unarchive them by wiki request, and they are allowed to stay in the long run. I don't think Staff would have any problems with them co-existing. They've reopened that feature on some wikis I administrate too. </p>

<p>ESB should reopen Forum:Index alongside Discussions as an alternative vehicle for wikitext discussion. </p>

<p>1. Wednesday's meetup starts at 3:00 p.m. eastern standard time. Sunday's meetup is more interesting as we have the marathon going on. I would say the meetup starts at 10 a.m. so users can chat while watching <i>The SpongeBob SquarePants Movie</i> premiere. But of course users can enter earlier or later at their discretion to watch the marathon while also chatting as the marathon will be taking place for the whole day. As the other events will be taking place in the afternoon of Sunday (EST), the peak time to enter though would be during the afternoon, around 2-3 p.m. </p><p>2. One of the ideas brought up in the anniversary suggestions thread was to use rabb.it to stream episodes live. There was lack of preparation for this one, and there was some debate over whether it would be legal or illegal to do. So this marathon watching is something I thought of to replace that original idea, so users could tune in to Nickelodeon via their own TV providers and then chat in ESB chat while watching. Similar to the discord watch party ESB had last night in its discord server where we watched the premiere of "SpongeBob's Big Birthday Blowout" while chatting about it as it premiered. </p>

<p>For the convenience of our voters, usually a pop-up message appears to your bottom right that links users to the current ongoing game. </p>

<p>Yesterday, there was an issue with the votes, where frequent ties such as "10" would come up and to the point where users would use the support vote (with a low rating) for the other episode to decrease its score. There's been an update now that means if you support using a blue vote, the blue episode's score will increase while the green episode's score will decrease. Likewise if you support using a green vote. </p><p>Letting you all know in case some of you may want to re-consider your votes. Now the scores will also display beyond "10" too. </p>

<p>I'll be launching the third & final round shortly. </p><p>In this elimination round, you can only either: </p>

• Support EpisodeBlue
• Support EpisodeGreen

<p>EpisodeBlue is the episode that is in the blue infobox on the page. EpisodeGreen is the episode that is in the green infobox on the page. The blue buttons on the voting scale are for supporting the blue episode, and the green buttons are for supporting the green episode, with neutral being if you're neutral to both episodes. </p><p>If an episode loses in this round, it's completely eliminated out of the SpongeCup. In this round, voting pages will be open longer than previous rounds. Let's begin. </p>

<p>Round 2 has been launched. You can only vote once. You can either: </p>

• Support episode A
• Oppose episode A
• Support episode B
• Oppose episode B

<p>Whichever option is up to you all. You only have one vote to use on each page. Episodes "A" and "B" just basically mean the two episodes available on the page for voting. </p>
