For me, the many Persian dubs because they are not licensed.
For me, the many Persian dubs because they are not licensed.
I just noticed that the "SpongeBob Squarepants" game "Titans of the Tide" has fewer dubs and lacks Polish and Castilian Spanish dubs, even though the "SpongeBob Squarepants" game "Battle for Bikini Bottom Rehydrated" and "The Cosmic Shake" did have those two dubs. Polish and Spanish fans of the "SpongeBob Squarepants" series certainly want Polish and Castilian Spanish dubs for the "SpongeBob Squarepants" game, and I'd like to ask if there's any way to ask THQ Nordic to add those two dubs? Unless THQ Nordic already has plans to add Polish and Castilian Spanish dubs to the "SpongeBob Squarepants" game "Titans of the Tide," but later, but I'd rather ask.
Let me give you an analogy. On the Latin American, Brazillian and Japanese prints of the first three seasons of Gumball, the audio is lower-pitched. This makes sense because Gumball was co-produced in the UK, which uses PAL. LatAM, Brazil and Japan use NTSC, so they slowed it down from 25fps to 24fps thus affecting the pitch. Here's how it would sound:
Now let's compare that to the non-English dubs of SpongeBob. A majority of dubs of the first 3 seasons (though there are some dubs that are exempt from this) have a similar audio issue (audio slowed down from 25fps to 24fps) This makes no sense because SpongeBob is already an American show and produced in NTSC. The worst case of this is in the Japanese dub (yet again, Japan uses NTSC), which low-pitches the first three seasons (and they also PAL-pitched seasons 4-6 and some of season 11, but at NTSC speed). Yet, the LatAM and Brazillian dubs have all episodes in normal pitch! I don't like it because it makes it sound like SpongeBob was produced in an European country. I provided two offficial SpongeBob multilanguage videos that proves this is real. (Here’s a hint: listen carefully for the pitch change in the music and sound effects, especially the "Licking doorknobs" segment in the first video and a majority of the second video)
You know how some foreign dubs of the first three seasons have their audio low-pitched due to the PAL master being slowed down to NTSC format? That kinda bothers me because it makes it sound like SpongeBob is an European show like Wallace & Gromit. The worst case of this is in the Japanese dub, which uses the PAL track despite Japan already using NTSC. (The dub also uses PAL pitch for Big Pink Loser/Bubble Buddy, most of seasons 4 and 6, all of season 5, and the season 11 episodes from Chatterbox Gary to The String). On Nick Japan's YT channel, several clips from the first 3 seasons as well as the pitch-corrected season 4 episodes use low pitch. Despite this, some seasons 1-3 episodes had their clips in normal pitch despite other dubs having those episodes in low pitch. And those episodes are…
Help Wanted/Reef Blower/Tea at the Treedome
Hall Monitor/Jellyfish Jam
Texas/Walking Small
Big Pink Loser/Bubble Buddy (an obvious one because due to the master being PAL-pitched originally, not a single dub of this episode is in low pitch)
Club SpongeBob/My Pretty Seahorse
As Seen on TV/Can You Spare a Dime? (Despite Nick Japan also uploading clips from those episodes in low pitch)
Wet Painters/Krusty Krab Training Video
Party Pooper Pants (same deal as ASOT/CYSAD?)
Krabby Land/The Camping Episode
I also noticed when TV5 started re-airing the Filipino dub in 2024, a majority of episodes were low-pitched, but not all of them. Here's a list of those:
Help Wanted/Reef Blower/Tea at the Treedome
Big Pink Loser/Bubble Buddy
The Algae's Always Greener/SpongeGuard on Duty
Club SpongeBob/My Pretty Seahorse
Snowball Effect/One Krabs' Trash
As Seen on TV/Can You Spare a Dime?
Wet Painters/Krusty Krab Training Video
Krabby Land/The Camping Episode
The Sponge Who Can Fly
What do you think of this little "phenomenon"?
Today, renowned actor and former president of the Hellenic Actors Union Spyros Mpimpilas (also well-known as a prolific voice actor) announced on Instagram, at around 2:40 PM (EEST), (https://www.instagram.com/spyrosmpimpilas/p/C-FfJIdIvQn/) that the VA of SpongeBob seasons 1-3 Greek dub and guest actor on Konstantinou kai Elenis Nikos Kyriakides died, after battling with cancer for 6 months, at the age of 54.
Throughout the entirety of the Studio Vertical seasons 1-3 dub, Kyriakides voiced Eugene H. Krabs (not SpongeBob like Mpimpilas falsely claims), as well as Mermaid Man, Larry the Lobster and the French Narrator. He also voiced Patchy the Pirate (seasons 1-2), Sheldon J. Plankton (season 3), King Neptune and various minor characters.

I was watching the three Sorani dubs of SpongeBob, and here's what I have to say:
-Pelistank, 1st dub-
This dub is both good and bad in my opinion.
It says on the dubbing database that SpongeBob is voiced by "Rozhgar Qahar", and that's it. I would say that he did an excellent job at doing the voice of SpongeBob. It was pretty cheap in some parts, but still.
Patrick and Squidward's voices are also pretty good.
My only concern is the background music. It either just plays the credits theme over and over when someone talks, or they just loop the music from another part of the episode. This is illegal, but still.
-Pelistank, 2nd dub-
The second dub apparently redid Season 1 (no idea why) and dubbed 2 & 3.
The entire voice cast was changed, and some voices like SpongeBob's are not good in my opinion.
The background music is different, but still bad. It just plays music from the episode "Gary's New Toy", all the way from Season 9. The music played is also very unfitting sometimes. If you don't believe me, search up This Grill Is Not a Home from this dub.
-Kurdsat dub-
This is the only legal one. Not surprising.
Even though it's legal and now uses proper background music, the voice acting is pretty bad imo.

So I went to the Nickelodeon Japan YouTube channel and I saw that they only upload clips from the Japanese dub of the show.
If you don't know what I'm talking about, then here's how it looks like:
Yes, that's right.
The Nickelodeon Japan YouTube channel only uploads clips of the Japanese dub and if would have been better if they uploaded clips of other Nick shows, such as The Loud House, PAW Patrol and many more, but no, they would only upload Japanese SpongeBob clips.
And the channel was made on May 17, 2022, 4 months after the TV channel shut down on January 31 of the same year, which is odd.
And I can tell that in the future, the YouTube channel will upload more compilations and more clips of the dub and they'll no longer upload clips of the Japanese dub of The Loud House or maybe PAW Patrol.
But Nickelodeon Japan is not the only one who uploads clips of the show.
Apparently, Nickelodeon Korea also uploads clips of the show and they don't upload The Loud House or even PAW Patrol, which is also weird.
And finally, I have a question.
Why is Nickelodeon Japan uploading clips from the Japanese dub of the show?
Let me know in the comments below.

Airdates for the dutch dub that i can remember. I saw them in 2001 when they were first shpwn on Nederland 3.
Altough the dub is said to have started in 2002, i beg to differ. As many nicktoons were on Z@ppelin back in the early 2000s. No source confirms that SpongeBob was/wasn't aired here, so we are pretty much dead end.
But i believe it did air there, for this reason;
You can't confirm something never aired somewhere because of no promos, and for SB, no promos have been found.
This was for a long time also the case for 'Heren in Blik', a strange, forgotten cartoon. For a long time, we had no idea it aired on the channel (or was even dubbed in dutch). A promo was found recently. This means we can't confirm the NPO never aired SpongeBob.
One day, one day this will be seen...
The only found footage of Heren in Blik.
