He's a star, a Patrick Star!
Squidward meets his voice actor Rodger Bumpass through a computer and they scream at each other in Goons on the Moon. SpongeBob meets his voice actor Tom Kenny through a drop of hot sauce in Karate Choppers. And Patrick doesn't meet his voice actor Bill Fagerbakke but he becomes him in The Patrick Star Show episode, To Dad and Back. And I'm not counting the episode SpongeBob's Big Birthday Blowout where Patrick meets his respective voice actor, because they weren't in their cartoon world as they were in the real world.

The first thing the new update brings is voice acting. While some characters like Nigel, Oblina, and Powdered Toast Man have new actors, many of them including the SpongeBob trio retain their original voice actors, and they have new voice lines too! Warning: The voices seem pretty crazy right now as they didn't add any limits to how often a character can speak.
2. Second, they added items! Now it's no longer just punching and kicking, you can use items for an advantage like in Smash.
3. Lastly, PlayStation users can download the game free of charge this month as long as they are a PS+ Subscriber. Once you download the game for free, you can continue to play it as long as you remain a member!
Now all we need is Crossplay (and some more fan favorite characters like Jimmy, Timmy, and Squidward) and hopefully this game will have a steady playerbase.
