Exactly what it says at the top. I'm gonna be going over every special and reviewing them based on what I think about them. I'm also going to include the 3 movies and the musical because they're over an hour long so why wouldn't I make two reviews in one. Heck, even the 4 spin off specials too, because I don't have anything else to do.
Christmas Who?: For a simple Christmas special, this is an incredible way to start off this list. The jokes land great, the funny gags are plentiful, and the songs are up there with the good Christmas songs you wanna listen to all the time. Yes. These are Christmas songs.
Party Pooper Pants: This is another pretty good one. For a 101st episode, it does it's job pretty well at celebrating the newly reached milestone. Heck, I even consider this one being one of the necessary specials to see during an old episode rewatch. Funny moments, incredible music, several memeable moments, it's got it all.
Ugh: Sure, it's one of the overdone prehistoric episodes just about every show has, but this is one of the good and original ones. Yeah, not much happens during the beginning, but towards the end you really feel like you've learnt what it was like for the 3 main characters' prehistoric ancestors. Another good one.
The Sponge Who Could Fly: This one I'm pretty on the fence about. On one hand, it's got some good moments, but on the other, its got just about as many meh and boring moments. It's fine for what it is, even if it has aged poorly with the advent of DVDs meaning most kids won't understand the entire part with the tape, but again, it's alright for what it is.
Have You Seen This Snail?: Oh boy, this one. My goodness, this is a contender for best special. The very early season 4 style really compliments this episode, for one. The music is incredible and does it's job well, especially Gary's Song, and my goodness, the meme potential of this episode is insane. Easily going to be in the top 10.
Dunces and Dragons: More back in time stuff, yeah, but it's still a great one. Nice visuals, great jokes, that classic SpongeBob feel, it's all here. Sure, it could be done a bit better, but hey. this episode is soon to be a legal adult, so what can we really do about it? (Also word of advice, if you have epilepsy, skip this one or look away from the screen when Mr. Krabs starts flying towards the screen, because it WILL hurt your eyes.)
Gonna have to cut this one short because I don't wanna make this too long, but I will make sure I go over seasons 5-7 at most tomorrow. Thanks for reading! :)
