Jesus freaking Christ this episode is so boring. I genuinely almost fell asleep while watching it.
Nothing even remotely funny is here. I didn’t even chuckle once. It’s not like the episode even tries to be funny at anytime anyway.
Heck, if I’m not mistaken, there no joke or even gag in this episode. This is just SpongeBob being sad his pet is gone for 11 minutes.
This episode is very forgettable. I don’t remember lot of it and I just re-watched it yesterday.
Patrick is very unlikable here. He shows little if any sympathy for taking away his BEST FRIENDS pet that he’s had since childhood who SpongeBob loved and took care of to the fullest. He’s also just a major jerk about it to.
Having it be the reason why Gary kept wanting to be with Patrick because he wanted the cookie in Patrick’s pocket was really stupid imo. Especially considering he didn’t go for Patrick’s pants once before that moment.
The plot is really dull
The episode is just a chore to sit through
Overall, this was a very bad episode for sure and most likely the worst episode of pre-movie SpongeBob. That might change though as I rewatch other pre-movie episodes I considered bad.
