I can't say I'm surprised that SpongeBob and friends have human counterparts, like JimBob to SpongeBob, Mr. Slabs to Mr. Krabs and Mr. Manward to Squidward, etc. when plenty of human celebrities have ones that are fish or other sea creatures. Gene Scallop to Gene Shallot, Johnny Knoxville to Johnny Krill, Bob Barnacle to Bob Barker. Heck even Hieronymus Glove to Walt Disney!
