10. Salesman Fish. This is an odd way to start off this list, but salesman characters are really funny and endearing. This spot goes to the shark salesman / hotel owner from Drive Happy / Jolly Lodgers, and the "get out of town" guy from That's No Lady / SpongeBob LongPants. I'd say the shark salesman is better, but that's just because "WELL HERE'S YOUR BELL, BOY!" is such a great line. The GET OUT OF TOWN guy has a better voice though.
9. Gary the Snail. Gary is so lovable. He's very cute, and very funny to see. I don't know what begged me to put him this high, I just like him.
8. Mrs. Puff. She's pretty entertaining. I like almost every Boating School episode and she's just so fun. Plus she has a dark past that I want to see explored.
7. SpongeBob SquarePants. He's so endearing and likeable! And sometimes relatable in episodes like Procrastination and Appointment TV. Plus in 1-3 he had great one-liners.
6. Fred. He was once a fan-favorite background character, and now he's a fan-favorite side character. My Leg! is such a great episode as well, and the My Leg! gag is great returning, especially in episodes like ChefBob and A Place for Pets.
5. Sandy Cheeks. Sometimes in a show as dumb as SpongeBob, there needs to be genuinely smart and likeable characters. That's the reason she's so high. Also she's probably the s-
4. Patrick Star. Like 99% of good jokes come from this guy's mouth. The rest are visual gags. The rest of the stuff with him is just not good though. Most of my least favorite episodes have him as the worst part, like The Splinter, The Card, and Stuck in the Wringer. But the good stuff with him is FANTASTIC.
3. Bubble Bass. This guy is FANTASTIC. He's not #1 because he's rude at times, but 1. he's thicc and 2. he's pretty funny with his Internet-troll-level jerkiness.
2. Sheldon Plankton. This guy is EVILLL! He's EVILLL! And he's really funny! Heck, on the SpongeBob Fanon Wiki I gave him his own spin-off! He's just great. And his wife is cool too. And so is his pupper.
1. Squidward Tentacles. I love Squidward so much. He's relatable, he has the best one-liners, and some of his torture makes me feel bad for him (which makes me like him more), and the other torture is HILARIOUS (like episodes like Squid Wood and Boat Smarts). Plus he's an octopus, one of my favorite animals.
