On a recently closed hurt and heal, I made the following comment:

"I don't think that's (the closing of the thread) necessary. I'm not sure where people started closing threads immediately after a game ended, but it's not even a rule. There's no reason to close it right after the game ends since users can say congratulations, comment on the winner, and/or suggest new hurt and heals after the winner is decided."

In my opinion, it should only be closed if it is very controversial, off topic, or necroposted on. I don't think there's a need to close every hurt and heal within 1 day of the winner being announced.

I am posting this here so that the rest of the discussion mods can be notified of this. There's no rule that says game threads should be closed after they end. If they are attracting a lot of controversy, going off-topic, reaching the 500 post limit, and/or being a victim of necroposting, then it should be closed.

In the first hurt and heals on the wiki, after the winner was decided users were able to comment of the winner, give suggestions about future hurt and heals, and link to the next/newer hurt and heals. With moderators suddenly closing all the threads that end, this is not possible.

Moderators: If you have all agreed on closing them for any reason, please at least give threads a couple of days for users to post after the game ends.
