"SpongeBob ParadePants" is a SpongeBob SquarePants special. It was a multimillion-dollar live show featuring all nine members of the main SpongeBob SquarePants voice cast. It was advertised as an hour-long "live-action movie event," written by the crew members of Nickelodeon Animation Studio[1] with an original plot - Mrs. Puff puts on a parade.

The live parade toured at Sea World Australia from 2011 to 2015. ParadePants was advertised as the largest SpongeBob event in the world. It features live costume versions of the main characters, with in-between sequences of original animation.

Mrs. Puff is putting on a parade across town. She tells SpongeBob to keep away from her stunt boat. However, he spots a group of jellyfish and tries to follow them across a moat. He drives the stunt boat to them and unknowingly does a series of dangerous water tricks. He is mostly successful, but he ends by crashing into Mrs. Puff's parade float. This makes the parade stop in place.

Mrs. Puff tells SpongeBob to leave the parade and sit in the audience. She asks Patrick to go get a mechanic to fix the float, and he runs off to get it. Still stuck in place, Mr. Krabs and Pearl want to sing to pass the time. Mr. Krabs sings "Cha-Ching" and Pearl does a cheer routine.

At the end of the song, Plankton appears and asks Mr. Krabs if he could just buy a Krabby Patty for once. Mr. Krabs refuses and says that he would not sell Plankton a patty if he had the last dollar on Earth. Karen tells Plankton that he could sing "the song that hypnotizes everyone" and get Mr. Krabs to hand him over a patty for free. Plankton sings "You Will Obey!" which makes Mr. Krabs flop down, hypnotized.

Plankton is about to get Mr. Krabs to obey him when Patrick comes back. Plankton tries to use the hypnotizing song, but he realizes that it does not work on brainless people. Patrick asks to touch Plankton's float, which has Karen and a large off switch on it. Plankton yells at Patrick not to touch it, but he flips the switch anyway, foiling Plankton's plot.

Plankton says that he will never stop trying to get a Krabby Patty, since it is his only goal in life. SpongeBob reappears and tells him that he should set another goal, like having fun. He sings a remixed version of "The F.U.N. Song," which garners a big applause from the audience.

Mrs. Puff angrily tells SpongeBob that she seems to recall ejecting him from the parade. SpongeBob says, "Yeah, that's not ringing a bell." Mrs. Puff orders him out immediately, and he runs away again. Mrs. Puff asks Patrick if he brought a mechanic, and he says no. Mrs. Puff is about to lose it when Sandy says that she is a mechanic.

Sandy brings out a huge wrench from her float. Patrick tries to help and accidentally drops it on Sandy's foot. She sings "Barnacles!" as Patrick tries to apologize. After the song, Sandy admits that she had fun singing it. The group of jellyfish appear again, making Patrick lose his focus. He goes off with SpongeBob to catch them, and they sing "The Jellyfishing Song."

With SpongeBob and Patrick gone, Squidward is overjoyed. He introduces his musical float and starts to sing "Superior," which is about how much better he is than everyone else. However, Mrs. Puff interrupts him with good news: Patrick is back.

Patrick comes in, riding on jellyfish with SpongeBob. Mrs. Puff is furious and tells SpongeBob to leave again, as she has ejected him multiple times. Patrick tells Mrs. Puff that she needs to give SpongeBob another chance. SpongeBob asks the jellyfish to help fix Mrs. Puff's float. The jellyfish dance to "Jellyfish Jam," led by SpongeBob, as they fix the float.

With her float finally fixed, Mrs. Puff tells SpongeBob that he is allowed back in the parade. "The parade is underway!" says Mrs. Puff. He says that it is the best day ever and sings a song about it. As Mrs. Puff wraps up the parade, the gang sings a final medley of their favorite songs, including a few verses of "Where's Gary?."
